Army solicits industry for portable platform to deliver RF effects

The U.S. Army has issued a solicitation for a portable "radio frequency-delivered effects" platform, aiming to enhance its communications and electromagnetic spectrum capabilities. This RF Delivered Effects Platform – Portable 2.0 program seeks a lightweight, flexible system under 100 pounds that can be deployed by one operator in under 10 minutes for both stationary and vehicle-mounted operations. It must seamlessly integrate various payload cards, support remote control, and be compatible with existing Army IP communications and command-and-control tools. This initiative is crucial for improving the Army's cyber and electromagnetic activities, ensuring interoperability and effective data sharing across the force. An optional capability for drone integration is also being considered to extend its range and situational awareness.
